The response was quick:

DEAR GREY

I SO MUCH APPRECIATE YOUR WILLINGNESS AND COURAGE TO DO THIS BUSINESS WITH ME IN-SPITE OF THE FACT THAT THE LETTER WAS ADDRESSED TO YOUR BUSINESS COLLEAGUE.

I HAVE BEEN WAITING TO HEAR FROM HIM TO CONFIRM HIS ACCEPTANCE OR NON-ACCEPTANCE SINCE THE LETTER WAS MAILED TO HIM EARLY THIS YEAR NOT UNTIL I RECEIVED YOUR FAX.

I HAVE STUDIED YOUR FAX VERY CAREFULLY AND WAS FORCED TO BELIEVE THAT YOU ARE AN HONEST AND GOD FEARING MAN, CAPABLE OF HANDLING THIS BUSINESS.

HOWEVER, IT IS AFTER SEVERAL MONTHS OF FASTING AND PRAYING TO GOD TO INTRODUCE TO US A RELIABLE AND GODLY PERSON WHO WILL NOT SIT ON THIS TRANSACTION.

Am I convinced by this? Nope. Later in the letter, he goes on:

I HAVE TAKEN YOUR WORDS AND AS A GOOD CHRISTIAN, I BELLIEVE YOU WILL LIVE UP TO YOUR FAITH. I DON'T WANT ANY SURETY, BOND OR DEPOSIT FOR NOW UNTIL WE SEE HOW WE SHALL PROGRESS. WHAT YOU SHOULD KNOW IS THAT THIS BUSINESS IS "CAPITAL INTENSIVE" BUT WITH GREATER BENEFIT.

He requests that I fill out and fax back contract papers to the Bank of Nigeria.
