Where I ask why the fees cannot be taken out of the transfer money...

Dear Mr Chukwuma,

Why not just take the fee out of the final sum at the time of settlement?

That would save a lot of to-ing and fro-ing.

Cosmo Newbery

Dear J. Cosmo Newbery,

I received your email and I don't really understand what you mean by deduction after transfer.

Please I need your urgent and immediate explaintation now. Has the bank contacted you? Please I need urgent detail information right now. We must communicate regualrly from today Saturday and Sunday until we receive the fund by next week Tuesday by the special grace of God.

thanks while expecting your immediate response.

Regards, Ariyo Jacob.

Dear Mr Ariyo,

It is quite simple and happens often in financial deals here.

At the time of settlement all applicable costs are deducted from the transfer amount. For example: when selling a house, all legal fees, government fees, council rates and such like are deducted from the sale price before the remaining amount is transferred to your account.

It is common business practice in civilised countries.

I assume Nigeria is a civilised country?

Yours sincerely, Cosmo Newbery.
