Thommo tries to pacify things a bit...

Jeez Julie,

Don't come the heavy with me, I was just trying to help ya. We're getting our wires crossed, I reckon. I know what youse said but I reckon these guys are ripping you off. I can feel it in me bones, too right I can.

It is the same feeling I got when a smarmy bastard, wearing a suit and tie if you don't mind, came and tried to sell me Gran green concrete for her front garden. Said he would throw in a gnome for free. I told him that if he didn't want the gnome to live where the sun never shines he should piss off. He didn't half leave in a rush. Saw him on the tellie a few years later. He'd been nabbed for selling shonky commode chairs to old biddies in retirement homes.

I know it is a bit late to be asking this, mate, but what exactly is demurrage? It sounds a bit like something that smarmy bastard said to me Gran, that she looked very demure. Is that the same?

But if youse reckon it is the way to go who am I to argue? I suppose you're footing the bill Julie, eventually anyways.

It may take me a day or two to get the money though, you understand?

Cheers mate,

Thommo.
