Oh, to be a fly on the wall in Lagos. Cosmo's niece, Betty Windsor (No relation to that other Betty Windsor who lives in Buckingham Palace. Or at least I don't think so.) passes on the sad news of J. Cosmo's passing on. I don't expect any further correspondence but you never know.

Dear Sir,

I am writing to you as you appear to have had some dealings with my Uncle Cosmo. At least that is my understanding from my brief reading of his email on his computer.

It is my melancholy duty to inform you that James Cosmo Newbery is no more.

He is dead, God rest his tortured soul.

It appears that he was taken advantage of while in a somewhat inebriated state in the back blocks of Amsterdam on the weekend. In all honesty we do not know what on earth possessed him to fly to Amsterdam. The police have yet to fully piece together what happened to the poor man; suffice to say that it wasn't pleasant. I cannot spend much time here recounting his fate as I must contact every one in his email address book that he may have had contact with recently.

As my mother, Uncle Cosmo's sister, must administer the winding up of his estate I, indeed we, would appreciate it if you would notify us of any unfinished business that may be outstanding between Uncle Cosmo and your organization. Thank you.

I remain,

Your obedient servant,

Betty Windsor
